SURFLINE SWELL FORECAST

OVERVIEW

Plenty of NE/ENE trade swell is expected for Puerto Rico Friday and Saturday. The surf comes down a notch or two into Sunday but fun size surf is expected to continue then. NW/NNW becoming N  swell mixes in with the lingering trade swell Monday into Tuesday of next week.

FRIDAY 29th
SWELL/SURF

Middles: 4-5-6’ (Chest/shoulder to 1’ overhead) short to mid period (8-10”) NE/ENE trade swell.

Wilderness
: 3-5’ (waist-head high) short to mid period (8-10”) NE/ENE trade swell.

SATURDAY 30th
SWELL/SURF

Middles: 3-4-5’ (waist/chest to head high) mid period NE/ENE trade swell. A few lingering plus sets are possible.
Wilderness: 3-4’ (waist to chest high) mid period NE/ENE trade swell.

SUNDAY 31st
SWELL/SURF

Middles: 2-3-4’ (thigh/waist to chest high) NE/ENE trade swell.
Wilderness: 2-3’+ (thigh/waist to chest high) NE/ENE trade swell.

WIND CONDITIONS

Trade winds will begin to relax by Friday and we are expecting light E/ESE breezes in the morning. With the light pressure gradient over the region on Friday, an afternoon seabreeze is likely but looks to remain less than 10kts. Winds remain fairly light early on Saturday and we are expecting a light ESE breeze early. A 5-10kt ENE seabreeze is expected for the afternoon. At this point trade winds look to remain light Sunday morning. Moderate trades return Monday into Tuesday of next week in and right not we are expecting ENE/E trades in the 7-12kt range then.
